知人がFace Bookで　ぐっとくる話を日本語訳つけてシェアしてくれていました。
FB上だと、そこで繋がっていない方へはお届けできないとおもって・・
ここでもシェアします。

ぐっとくる話を聞いたので、要訳つけてシェアします。

ある大学の哲学の講義のお話です。
教授が空のビンを取り出して、そこにゴルフボールをいっぱいに入れて、学生に「このビンはいっぱいですか？」と聞きました。学生は「いっぱいです」と答えました。
次に教授は小石をたくさん取り出し、そのゴルフボールの隙間に詰めました。教授は「このビンはいっぱいですか？」と聞くと、学生は「いっぱいです」と答えました。
次に教授は砂を取り出し、さらにそのビンの中に入れると、砂はビンの中の隙間を埋めつくしました。教授がもう一度「このビンはいっぱいですか？」と聞くと、学生は「いっぱいです」と答えました。
今度は教授は教壇の下から缶ビールを取り出し、１本まるまるビンの中に注ぎ入れると、学生は笑い出しました。
「さて」と教授が話し始めました。「このビンを人生だと思ってください。ゴルフボールは、貴方の人生で大事なものです。家族、子ども、健康、友人、情熱。これ以外のものが一切なくても、貴方の人生は満ち足りています。小石はその他のものです。仕事とか、車とか、家とか。砂はさらにその他の小さなことです。」
「もし貴方が砂を先に入れてしまったら、もう小石やゴルフボールが入る余地がありません。人生も同じです。」
「貴方の時間とエネルギーを小さなことに費やしてしまったら、本当に大切なものが入る余地がもうなくなってしまいます。」
「貴方の幸せのために一番大切なものを意識してください。」
「家族との時間を大事にしてください。夫や妻とデートしてください。家事などをする時間はいつでも作れます。ゴルフボールをまず大事にしましょう。優先順位をつけましょう。他のものは単なる砂です。」
一人の学生が手を挙げて「ビールはなんなんですか？」と聞くと、教授は「よく聞いてくれた」と答えました。
「人生がどんなにいっぱいいっぱいに見えても、いつもビールを飲むくらいの時間はあるってことさ」

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles roll
ed into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full.. The students responded with a unanimous ‘yes.’
The professor then produced two Beers from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand.The students laughed..
‘Now,’ said the professor as the laughter subsided, ‘I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things—-your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions—-and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.. The sand is everything else—-the small stuff.
‘If you put the sand into the jar first,’ he continued, ‘there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.
If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Spend time with your children. Spend time with your parents. Visit with grandparents. Take your spouse out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean the house and mow the lawn.
Take care of the golf balls first—-the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the Beer represented. The professor smiled and said, ‘I’m glad you asked.’ The Beer just shows you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of Beers with a friend.
